Chapter 29: The Ring Box
Jace
June. Last day of school.
Harper graduates fifth grade. Sienna is in the audience with Jace.
Not as Harper’s teacher. As his GIRLFRIEND.
After the ceremony, Harper runs to both of them.
“I DID IT! I’m going to MIDDLE SCHOOL!”
“We’re so proud!” Sienna says, hugging her.
“Can we celebrate? As a family?”
“Absolutely,” Jace says.
They go to Harper’s favorite restaurant. Ice cream after. Walk through the park.
It’s PERFECT.
That night, after Harper’s asleep, Jace pulls out a ring box.
Not yet. He’s not proposing yet. Just looking at it. Making sure it’s perfect.
The ring is simple. Elegant. EXACTLY Sienna.
He bought it three months ago. Been waiting for the right moment.
Tomorrow. He’ll do it tomorrow.
At the coffee shop where they met.
